This statement by the Embassy followed an announcement by the US administration regarding a reduction in the size of its diplomatic mission in Iraq.
US President Donald Trump is committed to the safety of American citizens and regularly assesses conditions at all U.S. embassy missions, so a decision was made to reduce the mission in Iraq, the statement added. (end)
